On January 8, 2020, a Ukrainian plane crashed near Tehran in Iran. Canada and the world are deeply concerned about the incident that claimed the lives of 57 Canadians, including 34 of them working or studying in universities and colleges in Ontario. The University of Colleges and Universities has announced the launch of a scholarship to commemorate the victims of the plane crash.
